Chris and I are having lunch and I just agreed to watch one of his all time favorite movies, The Princess Bride.

"Sweet. You really do love me."

"To the end of time," I say.

He leans in and kisses my mouth. "To the end of time."

I smile against his lips. "Can we have popcorn?"

"Do you want me to run to the store and get you some meds and some orange juice?" I ask and brush some hair away from his forehead. "I could make soup for dinner..."

"Yeah... chicken soup? and maybe some tea?" I ask. "But hurry back..." I might have whined that last part.

"As you wish," I say softly. I get him settled in on the sofa under a blanket then go into the kitchen. I have homemade chicken broth in the freezer, so I get that out to thaw and slip on a pair of flip flops. I make sure that Skunk is cuddled with Zach before I kiss him on the cheek and tell him, "I'll be right back."
