I've been under the weather for a couple days and for the first time I wake up and feel almost human. I can breathe pretty good and feel a lot better. I stretch out and the bed is empty. I frown and sit up just in time to see Chris come back. "Hey..."

I smile. We eat and make light conversation. "So I'm healthy enough for make out sessions?"

"Well...we'll take it slow. If you start to cough I'm putting on the brakes."

"Agreed..." I say. "I don't want a set back any more than you do..."

"Good," I nod. "Do you want more of anything?" I offer as I see him polishing off his food.

"I'm ok..." I smile."But some more coffee would be good..."

"I'm on it." I get up and get him more coffee. I make myself two more pancakes...and slip Noah and Skunk some bacon...
